Ukraine Conducts Major Drone Strike on Russia's Engels Air Base

Ukraine launched its largest drone attack on Russia's Engels-2 airbase early today, leading to fires and evacuations. Russian officials reported intercepting 132 drones, with 54 shot down over the Saratov region, where the strategic bomber base is situated. The Engels-2 base, which houses nuclear-capable Tu-95 and Tu-160 bombers used in strikes against Ukraine, is a significant military asset located 435 miles from the frontlines. The attack also caused damage to nearby civilian infrastructure, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
