Trudeau to Meet Polish Prime Minister for Nuclear Energy Cooperation Deal

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to sign the Canada-Poland Nuclear Energy Cooperation Agreement. The agreement will assist Canadian companies in constructing Poland's inaugural nuclear power plant, backed by up to $2 billion in financing from Export Development Canada. Trudeau's visit comes after ceremonies commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and could potentially be his final international journey as Prime Minister prior to March 9. Poland aims to commence building its nuclear reactors next year, with the goal of commencing power generation by 2033.
