Sony Pictures Regains Distribution Rights for 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy!' from CBS

Sony Pictures TV will assume distribution of 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy!' from CBS starting on February 10, 2025, as outlined in an official letter sent on February 3rd. An amended lawsuit by Sony Pictures against CBS alleges that CBS is in arrears from previous agreements and has breached their distribution contract. In response, CBS filed a countersuit against Sony in November and is pursuing a temporary restraining order to prevent the distribution transition. CBS asserted that Sony lacks the authority to terminate the distribution contracts and emphasized that CBS continues to be the series' distributor.
