Sanctions Imposed on Russian Cybercrime Network by US, UK, and Australia

The United States, United Kingdom, and Australia imposed sanctions on Zservers, a Russian web-hosting service, and two of its operators for aiding the LockBit ransomware group. LockBit has been associated with ransomware attacks exceeding $120 million worldwide since its establishment in 2019, impacting various prominent organizations. Bradley T. Smith of the Treasury Department highlighted the importance of disrupting the criminal ecosystem to safeguard national security. Tammy Bruce asserted that the sanctions demonstrate a dedication to combating cybercrime and weakening the infrastructure of cyber criminals who jeopardize citizens' security.
