According to sources familiar with the matter speaking to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is postponing its AI assistant Siri's revamp due to engineering issues and software bugs. Originally scheduled for April, the release of new Siri features may now be delayed until May or later, following the iOS 18.5 update. Gurman notes that the planned AI upgrade for Siri in iOS 18.4 could be delayed due to inconsistent functionality during testing by employees. Despite advancements in AI capabilities following its integration with Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.1 last November, Siri still faces challenges in keeping up with its competitors.
