SAO PAULO, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva stated on Thursday that tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump could lead to increased inflation, condemning the Republican's trade strategies as "inappropriate".
During a radio interview, Lula reiterated that if Trump enforces tariffs on Latin America's biggest economy, there would be retaliatory measures. The leftist leader expressed concern stating, "That could potentially elevate inflation globally."
