Governor Gavin Newsom has distributed cellphones to prominent business leaders in California, each pre-programmed with his direct number to enhance communication and support the business community. This initiative underscores Newsom's commitment to fostering industry growth in the state. Approximately 100 CEOs received the 'burner' phones, which have facilitated valuable interactions. A spokesperson from the California Department of Technology confirmed that they were not involved in the distribution of the phones.
