This ruling precedes Germany's upcoming federal elections, during which Elon Musk has expressed support for the far-right AfD party by tweeting in December that 'Only the AfD can save Germany'. The GFF's legal action seeks to enforce the Digital Services Act provision for immediate data access and to clarify jurisdiction for legal disputes involving X, stated the GFF. In a separate development, Paris prosecutors have initiated an inquiry into X regarding allegations of algorithmic bias, following a complaint from Eric Bothorel, a member of the French Parliament.
