First Rocket Launch License Approved for Shetland Spaceport

The German company Rocket Factory Augsburg has secured the inaugural launch operator license to conduct rocket launches from the SaxaVord Spaceport. With this license, Rocket Factory Augsburg can launch a maximum of ten rockets annually, transporting small satellites and various payloads. This achievement represents a significant milestone for the industry as it is the first vertical launch license ever granted in Europe.
