On January 29, Italian tech startup Exein announced an agreement with Taiwan's MediaTek to integrate cybersecurity systems into the chipmaker's Genio platform.

Exein stated that this partnership will introduce security features to billions of chips deployed globally across various industries such as mobile, home automation, automotive, and healthcare.

Italy has been actively promoting its tech startup industry, and this collaboration with a leading chipmaker like MediaTek can potentially enhance its international presence.

Post the deal with MediaTek, Exein anticipates its technology will be incorporated into over 3 billion devices. The partnership, valued at more than 5 million euros ($5.2 million), is expected to double by 2028.

Describing the collaboration as a long-term strategic move, Exein sees it as a stepping stone for future expansions into the automotive and robotics sectors on a global scale.

Stating MediaTek as a crucial ally, Exein highlighted the significance of this relationship.

Last year, Exein secured $15 million in Series B funding and boasts clients such as Daikin, Seco, and Kontron.
