Coca-Cola has initiated a recall of drinks in Europe due to elevated levels of chlorate, impacting Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. The recall involves five product lines that were distributed to Britain, where they have already been sold, as confirmed by Coca-Cola. NHS nutritionist Caron Grazette warns that exposure to high chlorate levels can pose health risks, particularly for children. Coca-Cola stated that the recall was prompted by routine testing that detected increased chlorate levels at the Ghent production facility.
