According to data from research firm Canalys, Apple smartphone shipments in China dropped by 25% in the fourth quarter, whereas Huawei's increased by 24%. Apple shipped 13.1 million units compared to Huawei's 12.9 million, giving Apple a 17% market share, closely followed by Huawei.
In the fourth quarter, total smartphone shipments in China rose by 5% year-over-year to 77.4 million units. In 2024, annual smartphone shipments in China saw a 4% year-over-year increase, reaching 285 million units.
