Belgium has recently established a new government, spearheaded by the right-wing nationalist party, N-VA, following almost eight months of negotiations and a deadline from King Philippe to finalize an agreement by January 31st. Bart De Wever, the N-VA leader, is set to assume the role of Prime Minister, taking over from the caretaker Alexander De Croo after the June elections. The coalition, dubbed 'Arizona', comprises five parties and is committed to emphasizing confederalism by empowering provinces while reducing federal oversight. The discussions for the coalition were protracted due to disputes regarding budget cuts and social welfare, resulting in the new government holding 81 out of 150 seats in the House.
