Two-year-old Palestinian Habiba al-Askari is battling a rare disease that has restricted blood flow to her limbs. Medical professionals have expressed the urgent need to transfer her to a hospital outside of Gaza to preserve her life and possibly some of her limbs.
For almost ten days, Jordan has been working to obtain Israeli authorization for her evacuation. Following Israel's approval, the BBC's special correspondent Fergal Keane accompanied Habiba and her mother on the last leg of their trip to Jordan for treatment.
