"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is preparing to re-establish diplomatic ties with Syria after the overthrow of the previous government. Ukraine cut ties with Syria in June 2022 after the Syrian government recognized Russia-occupied territories in Ukraine. Zelenskyy announced plans to send 500 metric tons of wheat flour to Syria under the humanitarian initiative. Ukraine aims to increase trade with Lebanon and double its agriculture exports from US$400 million."
