Zelenskiy Aims to Repair Relationship with US

Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, expressed optimism about repairing his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump following their tense meeting in the Oval Office, stressing the importance of continuing discussions in private.

Zelenskiy reaffirmed Ukraine's stance on not surrendering any territory to Russia as part of a peace agreement. He mentioned his willingness to sign a minerals deal with the U.S. and highlighted a recent meeting with European leaders to draft a peace plan for submission to the U.S.

At a London summit, Zelenskiy addressed reporters, acknowledging the challenges but emphasizing ongoing communication with Washington. He expressed confidence in the U.S. leadership's support against aiding Russian President Vladimir Putin, while staying prepared for all outcomes.

Zelenskiy also touched on the need for constructive dialogue, stating, "The format of what happened, I don't think it brought something positive." He received reassurance from European leaders regarding a proposed Ukraine peace plan, seeking U.S. guarantees for security against Russian aggression.

Despite some speculations on his resignation, Zelenskiy stood firm on his commitment to upholding Ukraine's sovereignty and reiterated Ukraine's stance on not ceding any occupied territories to Russia.

In light of the tensions stemming from the Oval Office meeting, Zelenskiy remains resolute in his dedication to Ukraine's mission, particularly emphasizing the significance of potential NATO membership in fulfilling his objectives.
