Venezuela's President Reports Flight Delays for Migrant Repatriation from the US

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stated on Saturday that scheduled flights to repatriate Venezuelan migrants from the U.S. had been disrupted due to "this unexplained, tremendous commotion" following the Trump administration's decision to allow Chevron to operate in Venezuela.

Maduro expressed his support for Chevron remaining in Venezuela, in response to President Trump's recent reversal of a key license for the company, citing issues related to electoral reforms and migrant repatriation.

Although Maduro did not directly mention the company in relation to the migrant flights, he highlighted the damaged communication between the two countries leading to flight disturbances.

Maduro's government consistently opposes U.S. and other sanctions, labeling them as illegitimate actions aimed at waging an "economic war" to destabilize Venezuela.

Maduro and his allies have applauded what they perceive as the country's resilience in the face of such measures, despite attributing some economic challenges and shortages to sanctions in the past.
