Five Chinese satellites, including three Shiyan-24C and two Shijian-6 experimental satellites, conducted coordinated combat maneuvers in low Earth orbit last year. This operation showcased advanced space warfare capabilities that have raised concerns among US Space Force leadership. The capability gap between US and Chinese space operations is closing, as China is now capable of executing complex orbital maneuvers that could disrupt, degrade, or destroy US satellites, posing a threat to both military and civilian space assets.
