US Military Races Against Time to Rescue Four Soldiers from Lithuanian Bog

Four US Army soldiers went missing on March 25 when their M88 Hercules armored vehicle became submerged in a bog near Pabrade, Lithuania. The 70-ton vehicle was located 15 feet underwater, with recovery efforts hindered by thick mud and groundwater seepage.

Over 200 personnel, including US Navy divers, Polish engineers, and Lithuanian forces, are working tirelessly with specialized equipment such as cranes, pumps, and helicopters. The vehicle has continued to sink deeper into the bog and is now buried under 13 feet of water and 6 feet of mud.
