Ukraine has reportedly agreed to partner with the U.S. on a mineral development deal, according to multiple sources. A Ukrainian official stated that the agreement framework provides Washington with access to Ukrainian mineral resources under improved terms compared to earlier proposals. The reported $500 billion demand from Ukraine, as per Bloomberg, is not anticipated as part of the deal. Notably absent from the agreement is any reference to President Trump's purported request for $500 billion worth of rare earth minerals as reimbursement for U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
