On February 13, Reuters reported that the United States and Canada have agreed to enhance cooperation in cross-border law enforcement to combat the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA). According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice, INTERPOL Washington Director Jeffrey A. Grimming and National Central Bureau Ottawa Director Marie-Josee Homsy signed a memorandum of cooperation. The agreement aims to take "concrete actions" against TdA, identified as "one of the world's most dangerous transnational criminal organizations."
