UK Set to Unveil Fresh Sanctions Against Russia

The United Kingdom is set to announce new sanctions against Russia on Monday, marking the third anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, as disclosed by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. Since the 2022 invasion, the UK has imposed sanctions on 1,900 individuals and organizations associated with Putin's government, according to Lammy. Vladyslav Vlasiuk, a Ukrainian sanctions policy commissioner, expressed concerns about the effectiveness of EU sanctions stemming from the Kongsberg Automotive case. The case has sparked questions about the enforcement of EU sanctions, highlighted by Oleh Symoroz, who believes Western countries can enhance the current situation.
