UK Police Charge Russian Captain in US Tanker Ship Collision

British police announced on Friday that they have charged the Russian captain, 59-year-old Vladimir Motin, of the container ship Solong, which collided with a U.S. tanker earlier this week. Motin faces charges of gross negligence and manslaughter. He has been remanded in police custody and is scheduled to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Saturday.
