British Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledged that U.S. President Biden is correct in suggesting that European countries need to take on a larger share of their collective self-defense. In an interview with the New York Times, he stated, "We need to think about defence and security in a more immediate way."
Starmer is working to establish a multinational military force, which he refers to as a coalition of the willing, aimed at securing Ukraine's skies, ports, and borders following any peace agreement.
Regarding Trump, Starmer noted, "On a person-to-person basis, I think we have a good relationship." However, he expressed that the U.S. leader's actions, including imposing a 25% tariff on British steel and criticizing President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of Ukraine, have created "quite a degree of disorientation."
