In Norwich, England, a stylish pizzeria has taken a stand against pineapples on pizza by charging an astounding £100 ($123) for a Hawaiian pizza in an attempt to deter customers from ordering the controversial topping. Lupa Pizza, through a food delivery app, sarcastically offers the option along with a suggestion to order champagne, labeling daring customers as "monsters."

Co-owner Francis Wolf expressed their strong aversion to pineapple on pizza, stating, "We vehemently dislike pineapple on pizza, feeling it doesn't suit the dish."

Chef Quin Jianoran mentioned they have tinned pineapple on hand but have yet to serve it due to lack of orders.

Despite pineapple's popularity globally on pizza, it remains a divisive topic, as reflected in a recent survey showing varying degrees of preference among Britons, with notable figures like Ed Balls condemning the idea.

While some patrons defended the Hawaiian pizza, calling it "life," others praised Lupa's playful marketing tactics in the "war on pineapples."

Customer opinions at the Norwich pizzeria were mixed, with individuals like Simon Greaves disapproving of pineapple on pizza, while others like 14-year-old Johnny Worsley enjoyed it, albeit not willing to shell out £100 for it.
