Celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo has refuted several allegations of inappropriate and intimidating conduct on the set of his television shows.
The accusations surfaced in an ITV News investigation, wherein "dozens" of individuals described his behavior as "unacceptable," "distressing," and "horrendous."
Through his legal team, D'Acampo vehemently rejected the "deeply upsetting" allegations conveyed by ITV News.
BBC News has sought a response from his representative regarding the matter.
According to ITV News, anonymous sources involved in TV productions with D'Acampo alleged aggressive behavior, outbursts with abusive language, and the use of sexualized language.
Reportedly, some production staff felt anxious and uneasy due to his actions.
D'Acampo denied the claims, asserting they date back more than a decade, adding that he had no prior knowledge of them.
Expressing his seriousness, he stated, "I am a father, husband, and have collaborated with over 1,500 individuals on approximately 80 productions throughout my career, of which I am very proud."
The 48-year-old chef has been a fixture on UK television since the early 2000s, predominantly working with ITV on cooking and travel programs, alongside guest appearances on various entertainment shows, including the BBC.
ITV emphasized that production companies bear primary responsibility for the well-being of everyone involved and highlighted its efforts to reinforce standards expected from affiliated production entities in recent years.
The broadcaster reiterated that any inappropriate and unacceptable conduct described in complaints brought to light by ITN is taken seriously, with corresponding actions being implemented upon notification to ITV.
