Trump anticipates signing a minerals deal with Ukraine soon

U.S. President Trump stated that a revenue-sharing agreement regarding Ukrainian critical minerals is expected to be signed soon. He informed reporters during a Cabinet meeting that discussions are underway between the United States and Ukraine about the possibility of American firms owning Ukrainian power plants.

A U.S. delegation met with Ukrainian officials on Sunday and with Russian officials on Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While the talks primarily focused on establishing a ceasefire in the Black Sea, Trump mentioned that other issues are also being addressed as he advocates for a halt to Russia's aggression over the last three years.

"We're discussing territory, lines of demarcation, and power plant ownership. Some believe the United States should own the power plants due to our expertise," he noted.
