A Canadian government department uncovered a deliberate and organized effort aimed at Liberal Party leadership candidate Chrystia Freeland. The campaign was linked to a WeChat account associated with the Chinese government and involved more than 30 accounts. Freeland declared, "I will not be intimidated by Chinese foreign interference," underscoring the importance of defending freedoms. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will continue in his role until a new Liberal Party leader is selected on March 9.
