SpaceX Rocket Debris Discovered in Poland Following Uncontrolled Reentry

On February 19, 2025, a sizable object believed to be a section of a Falcon 9 rocket landed close to a major city in Poland, as verified by the Polish Space Agency. Weighing approximately four tonnes, the object was located by Adam Borucki in Komorniki, Poland. Dr. Jonathan McDowell noted that uncontrolled re-entries of large rockets are uncommon and potentially hazardous. He confirmed reports of debris in Poland and potentially in Ukraine. The Polish Space Agency further verified the uncontrolled re-entry of a Falcon 9 rocket stage over Poland between 4:46 and 4:48 a.m.
