DeepSeek will be temporarily unavailable for download in South Korea while its user data handling is under review, as confirmed by authorities in Seoul. The Personal Information Protection Commission has noted that DeepSeek acknowledged some deficiencies in adhering to domestic privacy laws. DeepSeek will be downloadable again once it aligns with Korean privacy regulations and implements required adjustments, as specified by the PIPC.
