Pop star Shakira announced on social media that she will perform in Peru on Monday after canceling a Sunday show due to hospitalization for an "abdominal issue."
The doors of the stadium will open at 1600 local time (1900 GMT), with the concert set to begin at 2025 Lima time. Shakira, who was scheduled to perform in Lima on both Sunday and Monday as part of her "Las mujeres ya no lloran world tour," mentioned visiting the emergency room on Saturday night without specifying details about her condition.
Fans, eagerly waiting outside the National Stadium in Lima, expressed their happiness. Isabela Torres, a fan at the location, mentioned that "people who had tickets have already gotten their spirits back, as they feel happy to be able to enjoy this show today."
Shakira's return to Lima, after nearly a decade since her last performance there, was met with a warm reception as hundreds of fans gathered at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima to greet her early Saturday morning.
