Senior Russian Diplomat Announces Next Meeting Between Russian and U.S. Representatives within Two Weeks

A second meeting between Russian and U.S. representatives is scheduled to take place within the next two weeks, as reported by the RIA state news agency on Saturday, citing Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

The recent meeting between Moscow and Washington aimed at resolving the nearly three-year conflict in Ukraine and improving relations.

The upcoming meeting will occur in a third country, with the specific location still being determined. Ryabkov mentioned in an interview with RIA that the attendees from both the Russian and American sides have yet to be confirmed.

Ryabkov indicated that there is a "principled agreement" from both parties to discuss and address all outstanding issues.

According to Ryabkov, discussions will focus on both Ukrainian affairs and bilateral relations, emphasizing the potential for dialogue on strategic stability, arms control, and even the Middle East, contingent upon positive shifts in American policy.

The Kremlin noted that the initial meeting was predominantly centered on Russian-U.S. relations, heralded as a crucial step towards resolving the Ukraine conflict.

Furthermore, the Kremlin hinted at the possibility of a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump later this month, expressing mutual interest in convening.
