North Korean hackers, identified as the Lazarus Group, stole $1.5 billion in cryptocurrency from Bybit during a routine Ethereum transfer, according to security firms. Bybit's CEO, Ben Zhou, announced that the company has restored its reserves post-theft and affirmed its financial stability. Within minutes, the hackers laundered approximately $160 million of the stolen funds through accounts associated with North Korean operatives, as reported by TRM Labs.
