Russian Lawmaker Criticizes EU: Munich Fireworks Signal Disconnect and Crisis

In Moscow on Sunday, a Russian parliament speaker commented on the Munich Security Conference, describing it as evidence of the European Union's incompetence in grasping global affairs, leading to a crisis.

The United States expressed views on Ukraine's NATO membership and border issues, favoring peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. In a post titled "Hysteria in Munich," Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of Russia's lower house of parliament, criticized European political elites for their predicament.

Volodin pointed out that European Union institutions and leaders lacked understanding of global events, displaying incompetence and inadequacy. He mentioned European leaders' uneasy response to U.S. Vice President JD Vance's remarks, accusing them of stifling free speech and opposition voices.

Volodin emphasized the inevitability of change amid Europe's crisis, predicting conflicts and crises to emerge during this transformative period.
