Russia's Ministry of Defence announced on Tuesday that its air defence units had eliminated 46 Ukrainian drones overnight, with the majority targeted over the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence on the Telegram messaging app, 41 drones were taken down over Belgorod, with the remaining over Bryansk, Kursk, and Oryol regions. In the aftermath, one person was injured, and several houses were damaged, as communicated by Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported no immediate injuries or damages resulting from the attack, noting the absence of such incidents.
Ukraine has not yet released a statement regarding the incident. Kyiv has previously stated that its actions within Russia are intended to disrupt Moscow's war operations by targeting critical infrastructure, in response to Russia's ongoing airstrikes on Ukraine over the past three years.
