Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Russia is prepared to engage in discussions with the United States regarding a peace proposal mentioned by the U.S. and Ukraine, with potential talks scheduled for Thursday.
Following discussions with senior U.S. officials in Saudi Arabia earlier this week, Ukraine announced its willingness to observe a 30-day ceasefire, prompting the United States to present the proposition to Moscow.
"We are willing to explore the outlined initiatives through forthcoming dialogues with the United States. Such exchanges could commence as early as today," Zakharova expressed.
The Kremlin had informed earlier that American negotiators were en route to Russia. It was confirmed that Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov and U.S. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz had a phone conversation on Wednesday.
