Bumble announced on Friday that Ronald Fior, a current partner at financial consulting firm FLG Partners, will serve as the dating app operator's interim Chief Financial Officer starting March 15, replacing Anu Subramanian.
Fior, who brings over 30 years of CFO experience, is currently a consultant for Bumble and will continue in that role alongside his new CFO responsibilities. His appointment comes at a crucial time for the company, facing challenges in boosting revenue growth and retaining paying users.
Previously, Fior has held interim CFO positions at companies like Perch, Absolute Software, and Trove Recommerce, while also having served as CFO at Quotient Technology, Callidus Software, and Ingenuity Systems.
Following the recent departure of founder Whitney Wolfe Herd as CEO in March and other executive changes, Bumble reported lower than expected quarterly revenue and predicted a temporary decrease in paying users as it updates its app with new features.
