On average, brain samples contain 4,800 micrograms per gram, equivalent to an entire plastic spoon. Health Concerns: Individuals with dementia exhibit 3-5 times greater microplastic levels than those with normal brains. Notably, 75% of the detected plastic particles consist of polyethylene, commonly present in items like plastic bags and shampoo bottles.
