Record Donation Given to US Olympic Team

The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee has unveiled a groundbreaking $100 million grant to bolster upcoming Olympic athletes. Ross Stevens, CEO of Stone Ridge Holdings Group, is behind this significant contribution.

Starting from 2026, every Olympic and Paralympic athlete will receive $200,000 in financial support. The payments will commence 20 years later or when athletes reach the age of 45, whichever comes later.

USOPC Chair Gene Sykes highlighted that this generous grant is designed to support Olympians even after their competitive careers come to an end. The aim of this donation is to ease the financial challenges faced by athletes, many of whom earn under $50,000 annually.
