Putin Unwilling to Make Concessions, Affirms EU's Kallas

On Wednesday, European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas expressed distrust toward Moscow following a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin. The call led to a temporary Russian agreement to cease attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities. Kallas emphasized, "Russia does not really want to make any kind of concessions," during a press briefing in Brussels. Putin did not commit to a full 30-day ceasefire, as Trump had aimed for as a precursor to a lasting peace agreement.
