BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of Philippe Maillard as the group's Chief Operating Officer, effective February 11, replacing Laurent David. Maillard, a company veteran who joined BNP in 1992, previously served as COO of the Corporate & Institutional Banking division. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing technology, IT, data, facilities management, procurement, and internal consulting. Laurent David was a member of the group's general management, led by Chief Executive Jean-Laurent Bonnafe. Maillard will now join the broader executive committee, as confirmed by a company spokesperson. BNP's executive committee includes the general management and other business and central functions heads, as indicated on the bank's website.
