On Thursday, Oracle introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance NetSuite, its corporate finance software, streamlining tasks like obtaining price quotes for custom bicycles. Unlike competitors like Microsoft, Oracle focuses on targeted AI features to simplify common but tedious tasks, like inputting meeting details into corporate systems.

An example of this is generating complex price quotes efficiently, now facilitated through a conversational chatbot feature in NetSuite. This tool can assist sales professionals behind the scenes or customers directly in e-commerce scenarios.

Evan Goldberg, the executive vice president of Oracle NetSuite, explained to Reuters, "When you buy something like a bicycle, you have to configure it... If you can configure products for customers more easily, you can do more deals in a day, or each deal costs less."

Rather than investing in extensive AI models, Oracle collaborates with partners such as ChatGPT creator OpenAI. While no formal agreements have been announced, Goldberg expressed optimism about potentially working with OpenAI in the future.
