OpenAI Introduces AI Image Generation Feature in ChatGPT

OpenAI has rolled out new image generation capabilities using the GPT-4o model in ChatGPT, now accessible to all users, including those on the free tier. CEO Sam Altman highlighted that the model aims to provide creative freedom while ensuring it avoids offensive content without user consent. The tool exhibits enhanced accuracy and contextual understanding, capable of binding attributes for 15 to 20 different objects and producing various image types, such as scientific diagrams and comics. OpenAI emphasizes that strong safeguards are implemented to prevent misuse, including blocks against generating sexual deepfakes and other inappropriate content.
