The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has revised its projections, indicating a decrease in both U.S. and global economic growth compared to previous estimates. According to the latest data, global GDP growth is expected to decrease from 3.2% in 2024 to 3.1% in 2025 and further to 3.0% in 2026. The OECD attributed this adjustment to heightened trade barriers in various G20 economies, along with growing geopolitical tensions and policy uncertainties that are dampening investment and household spending.
