Nvidia and Arc Institute Announce Evo 2, the Largest AI Model for Biological Research

Nvidia and the Arc Institute have introduced Evo 2, the largest AI model for biological research, leveraging data from approximately 9 trillion genetic pieces sourced from more than 128,000 organisms. During testing, Evo 2 successfully pinpointed 90% of the harmful mutations associated with breast cancer in the BRCA1 gene. Powered by 2,000 Nvidia H100 processors, this model is accessible to scientists through Nvidia's BioNeMo platform at no cost. Researchers anticipate that Evo 2 will boost research productivity, facilitating advancements in medicine, gene therapies, and the development of climate-resilient crops.
