According to South Korean media, North Korea has reportedly sent additional troops to Russia, specifically to the Kursk region. Conflict is ongoing in this area between Russian forces and Ukrainian troops who crossed the border into western Russia.
The National Intelligence Service (NIS) did not respond to requests for comments regarding the scale of the deployed troops. The NIS had previously mentioned that over 11,000 North Korean troops were sent to Russia for the Ukraine conflict. Reports suggest that Russian forces have utilized North Korean weaponry.
North Korea has not publicly confirmed its military involvement in supporting Russia during the Ukraine conflict.
