Netflix has increased its subscription prices in the UK, with the Standard plan now costing £12.99 per month, up by £2, affecting all subscription tiers. The streaming service ended 2024 with over 300 million subscribers, gaining almost 19 million new subscribers in the last months of the year. Netflix's net profit doubled to $1.8 billion from October to December 2024, while sales increased from $8.8 billion to $10.2 billion. A Netflix spokesperson mentioned that the price increase will enable the company to "continue to invest in programming and provide more value for our members."
