Elon Musk advocated for the elimination of entire U.S. Federal agencies during a video call at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, as part of his campaign for spending cuts under President Donald Trump. Musk criticized the effectiveness of USAID and the National Endowment for Democracy, questioning, "How much democracy have they achieved lately?" He suggested that the U.S. should take a less interventionist stance in foreign affairs, promoting a more isolationist foreign policy.
