On Friday, February 28, Russian drones targeted a medical facility and other locations in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, injuring at least five people according to local officials.
Oleh Syniehubov, the regional governor, reported on the Telegram messaging app that eight Russian drones struck civilian areas in three central districts of the city, areas that have frequently been targeted in the ongoing conflict.
The governor stated that five people were injured, while Mayor Ihor Terekhov indicated that seven people were hurt. Over 50 individuals were evacuated from the medical facility, and emergency responders worked to extinguish a fire sparked by the attack.
The strike resulted in significant damage, including shattered windows in an apartment building, a car dealership, and a hypermarket. Meanwhile, in Odesa, a Black Sea port often targeted by Russian forces in southern Ukraine, a drone attack caused fires in a private residence and a business, leading to one fatality and one injury.
