Manchester City has initiated a fresh legal challenge against the Premier League concerning adjustments to associated party transaction regulations that were approved by clubs in November. This new case is in addition to the three ongoing disputes between Manchester City and the Premier League, which involve over 100 alleged financial breaches. City asserts that the rule modifications should not have retroactive application, a central aspect of their latest challenge. The Professional Footballers' Association has similarly warned the Premier League of potential legal action regarding new financial regulations, citing concerns over the consultation procedures.
